12-14 McLaren 12C — Headlight Restoration Service
Modern automotive headlights are constructed with polycarbonate lenses which protect the internals of the headlight assembly from the elements. The interior and exterior of the polycarbonate lenses are protected with a thin hard coating. Once hard coat degradation occurs the headlight becomes quite unsightly. The 12C headlights are made by Perei. They are not designed or intended to be disassembled. This means that the only solution is headlight replacement. Even if one was to purchase new headlights, the new headlights suffer from the same defect. This is why we advise customers to have their lights restored - do it once and do it right. Our restoration service costs a fraction of what replacement headlights would cost. We fully disassemble the headlights using our own proprietary method. We strip down and remove the internal hard coat and refurbish the lens interiors to "like-new" condition. All internals are cleaned, checked and then re-assembled. Even the headlight alignment specifications are retained and/or restored. Once complete, the headlights are re-assembled and tested for leakage to confirm that there will be no issues with water entry. Further, all headlight restorations are fully documented upon arrival and prior to shipping out. We provide our customers with complete before & after photos of their restoration. On average, this service has a typical turn-around (lead-time) of 1-2 weeks. This is not a guarantee, it is only an estimate. Our priority is to ensure a proper restoration. If the lights have been tampered with or require additional restoration - we will notify you with an updated time-frame. |
